Yes. Definitely chemical engineering has a wide scope and according to your interests you can narrow down your scope and choose a minor to follow on.
While other engineers (traditional engineering such as civil, mechanical, electrical ....) play with mathematics and physics; chemical engineers master both subjects while using chemistry, biology, food sciences ... etc. Definitely it has vast area to research and on the unlimited space you would be able to make future happens.
Finally I would say; It is worth degree to getting .....
