Biomedical engineering degree is still not offered by non of sri lankan state own universities although that subject is included in syllabuses of engineering degree programs of Sri Lanka . But there is a plan to start a Biomedical engineering MSc course in University of Moratuwa with collaboration with University of Colombo. Department of Chemical Engineering and Department of Electronic and Telecommunication of University of Moratuwa will play major role is this course starts.
