What is Carbon Foot Print?
The definition of the Carbon Foot Print can be as follows.
‘‘The total set of greenhouse gas emissions caused directly and indirectly by an [individual, event, organisation, product] expressed as CO2e.’’ 1
The carbon foot print of above parties encompasses three ways of carbon emissions.
1. Direct emissions that result from activities such as combustion of fuels, emission of gases during operation, production and manufacture, and running of a vehicle fleet
2. Emissions from electricity usage
3. Indirect emissions from products and services that the organization does not directly control (Emmision from indirect activities of the main process such as preparation and transport of the raw materials)
