Many students try pirated softwares as they do not have enough resources to go for high profile industrial softwares. But in order to protect the sustainbility of the product owners users pay their contribution. I know some universities are wasting lot of money on unnecessary softwares and modules as authorities do not exactly know the requirement of students.
