Today another program of Katha Baha was done. An Indian chemical engineer Mr. Kuldeep Varma did his presentation on topic "Distillation Columns in Industry ". He explain his experiences in his carrier of designing new distillation columns & optimizations of existing columns.

Kasippu is ethanol. It becomes a deadly poison when it is contaminated with methanol. In Sri lanka our industry produce ethanol in mass scale. Pelwatta suger industries is one example. But they are produce it legally.

I am so sorry. I will add a post on methanol production very soon. I do not know about methanol production facility in Sri Lanka. I will ask from my one of lecturers about it and I will add it to my post too.
